Network Administrator (Level 2)
We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator (Level 2) to join our IT team and take ownership of managing and maintaining our global network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering and operations, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent problem-solving skills. This role requires adaptability, a proactive mindset, and the ability to respond to emergencies outside of regular business hours when needed.
The successful candidate must possess exceptional communication skills, enabling them to clearly articulate technical issues and solutions to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and departments will be critical to resolving technical challenges, maintaining high network availability, and driving continuous improvement in network performance and security.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, install, maintain, and monitor global network systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues efficiently, minimizing impact on business operations.
• Implement, manage, and improve network disaster recovery procedures and policies.
• Proactively identify network vulnerabilities and implement measures to enhance network security and performance.
• Provide hands-on technical support to end-users for network-related problems and incidents.
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other network security tools.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including diagrams, policies, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth deployment of new applications, technologies, or systems that rely on the network.
• Monitor network performance using tools such as OpManager, SolarWinds, Wireshark, and ensure compliance with SLAs and performance metrics.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in network technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements.
Requirements
• Proven expertise in network administration, including network performance analysis and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs).
• Experience with configuring and managing Cisco or Palo Alto networking equipment.
• Solid understanding of network security principles, including firewall configurations, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and Zero Trust architecture.
• Proficiency in networking tools such as OPManager, Wireshark, SolarWinds.
• Hands-on experience with operating systems, including Windows Server, Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu), and virtualization platforms such as VMware/ESXi.
• Familiarity with cloud networking and integration with AWS and Azure.
• Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• 4+ years of experience in a network administration role.
• Fluency in English.

• Fluency in Spanish.
