Sr. Engineer Business Intelligence
The Sr Engineer Business Intelligence is the most senior technical member of a BI team and reports to the Manager of Business Intelligence. In this role, the Sr. Engineer Business Intelligence actively collaborates with business stakeholders, BI analysts & developers, and other teammates in IT to design, implement, & maintain BI systems and solutions.

Job Description
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with fostering a strong data culture in the company
Assist with improving the capabilities and value of BI at the organization
Provide QC of solutions within the QC framework
Follow change management and integration management best practices
Address IT tickets & troubleshoot performance, operability, & accuracy of reports
Perform administrative duties to maintain the current BI environment
Manage access to the current BI environment
Support business users to publish, refresh, change, and remove reports
Lead development on solutions with complex requirements
Assist analysts outside IT to use the enterprise data model and deliver their own solutions
Deliver more basic reporting solutions at the direction of the BI Manager
Work with business to gather detailed requirements & design solutions
Compare data needs against data available in enterprise assets
Maintain an enterprise data architecture
Qualifications / Education
2+ years sustaining an enterprise data architecture, such as a common data model or data warehouse
2+ years working with internal stakeholders
2+ years of owning full lifecycle of BI projects/solutions
5+ years of hands-on enterprise data engineering/ETL experience and data modeling experience
5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence stack
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in a suitable field

Comfortable prioritizing & ability to manage work & stakeholders across multiple projects
Capable of working within an enterprise data environment- change & integration management
Strong skills in data wrangling- Power Query & M and data modelling & DAX
Strong skills in data visualization and troubleshooting concepts
Experience with SQL Server Management Studio, DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, & ALM Toolkit
Comfortable working with row level & object level security
